FAQs

Q: Who are your typical clients?

A: Our clients come from many walks of life, many professions, and a range of life stages. We typically work with people who meet any of the following:

  • Are motivated to achieve their financial goals
  • Are looking for a long-term relationship with a financial planning team that can help them on their way

Q: Who would not be a good fit for Financial Network?

A: Anyone who believes they can beat the market, who wants the latest hot stock tip, or who wants to talk about daily stock returns.

Q: Do I have to come to your office?

A: When establishing our initial relationship, it is helpful to meet in our office and have some face-to-face time. As we work together longer, we can conduct meetings over the phone or virtually if that is your preference.

Q: Do I have to pay for our introductory meeting?

A: No. It is always free to talk to us.

Q: What are your fees?

A: Typically we charge an advisory fee as a percentage of the assets we manage. Fees are charged against the asset account value and are split on a a quarterly basis. For smaller accounts, we may charge a commission on each sales transaction. For insurance, we charge a commission. These fees cover all the services we provide.

Q: Why is the CFP® designation important?

A: CFP® professionals must have attained a college degree, and are required to complete an advanced college-level course of study in financial planning. In addition, they have passed the comprehensive CFP® Certification Examination, and have completed at least three years of full-time financial planning-related experience. Most importantly, CFP® professionals are required to act in a Fiduciary capacity for their clients, which means your best interests are always at heart. All our team members have earned the CFP® designation or are working with someone who has attained it.

Q: What is the next step?

A: You can schedule a meeting on our website. Alternatively, you can call our office at (248) 626-3120. We will discuss what documents you should bring to the initial consultation.
